BURN Decompression 2013

I wore a lot of hats for this year's incarnation of this large fundraiser event for the Bold Urban Renaissance Network.  Production Designer and Manager, Lighting Designer and Programmer, and Crew Chief.  The quality of production was greatly increased from previous years, and it was truly a great event.

Whenever I and my fellow techs walk into a load-in that is staffed with volunteer labor, we are usually prepared to do most of the work ourselves while being watched by some unskilled kids.  BURN's volunteers, however, are A+.  While many of them had never handled production gear before, they were generally indiscernible from experienced stagehands.

Crushed up window screen makes for an awesome backdrop - looks like rock wall when uplit
